This “Reserve” edition of the Bouchard Finlayson Sauvignon blanc can safely be considered to be a “collectors” item. It has the ability to age and develop to a complex level, confronting the urban legend that Sauvignon blanc is only suitable in its fresh flowery form. Ever popular Sauvignon blanc has largely been relegated to the popular drinking category. Pay attention and appreciate the sophistication of this special cuvee!

Vintage 2012 was simply perfect. There were no curved balls to spoil the fruit and the “weather roulette wheel” offered us the winning ticket!

This is a dry wine with no hard edges. It has great fruit harmonizing with a small compliment of Semillon to assist with its evolution. Smooth, tropical and marginally herbaceous with bright flavours! Excellent lingering finish with languid ripples of mixed fruits and plum, fig and kiwi. Drink now or cellar and enjoy the evolution to five, six, seven years!
